At Israchat we believe privacy is part of keeping you safe. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

• Account details: email address, display name, and password (stored only in hashed form — we never see your actual password).
• Profile (optional): country, languages, interests, bio and a profile picture you choose to add.
• Content you create: messages, questions, answers, comments and images you upload.
• Basic usage data: last-seen time (for online/offline status) and minimal technical data for security and rate-limiting.

Why we collect it

• To verify you and keep a real, bot-free community.
• To power chat, Q&A, friends and games.
• To auto-translate content into your language and remove the language barrier.
• To protect you — detect harmful content, enforce blocks and handle reports.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We only use trusted infrastructure providers to run the service:

• Cloudflare — storage, database and servers.
• Brevo — sending emails (verification codes and notifications).
• Automatic translation and moderation engines running on Cloudflare infrastructure.

Minimum age

The service is intended for ages 16 and over. If you are under 16, please do not register.

Your rights

You can edit your profile at any time and request deletion of your account and data by contacting us. We will delete your data within a reasonable time, except information we are legally required to keep or that is needed for safety.
